Australia in August 2032: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for Australia in August 2032, read from the chart cast when the Sun entered Mesha, from the country's founding chart and from any eclipse in the month. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Kumbha (Aquarius)
- Lord of the year chart
- Shani (Saturn) in house 4
The solar year began on 14 April 2032, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Canberra, Aquarius was rising.
Saturn rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 4th house, which keeps land, housing, farming, the season's weather and the mood at home in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Moon in the 4th house brings shifting public mood and a focus on everyday needs to land, housing, farming, the season's weather and the mood at home.
Jupiter in the 12th house brings growth, support and wider opportunity to public spending, foreign investment, ports and work done out of sight.
The founding chart
- Founded
- 1901-01-01
- Lagna
- Mesha (Aries)
- Moon sign
- Mesha (Aries)

Shani (Saturn)
Saturn is in Gemini: the 3rd house from the founding chart's rising sign (communication, the media, transport links and dealings with neighbours) and the 3rd house from its Moon.
Saturn here tends to ask for patience, restructuring and careful budgets in these matters.
Guru (Jupiter)
Jupiter is in Capricorn: the 10th house from the founding chart's rising sign (governance, institutions and the country's standing in the world) and the 10th house from its Moon.
Jupiter here tends to support growth and sound planning in these matters.
On 13 August 2032 Jupiter moves into Sagittarius: the 9th house from the founding chart's rising sign (higher learning, beliefs, long-distance travel and trade far afield) and the 9th house from its Moon.
Rahu
Rahu is in Libra: the 7th house from the founding chart's rising sign (foreign relations, treaties and trading partners) and the 7th house from its Moon.
Rahu here tends to stir new ideas and fresh ambitions, along with some uncertainty.
Ketu
Ketu is in Aries: the 1st house from the founding chart's rising sign (the country as a whole and the general mood of its people) and the 1st house from its Moon.
Ketu here tends to bring a review of old ways and a quieter, inward turn.
Planets changing sign
- Surya (Sun) enters Simha (Leo)
On 17 August 2032 Sun moves into Leo, the 5th house of the founding chart (education, the young, the arts, entertainment and the share markets).
