Canada in June 2025: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for Canada in June 2025, read from the chart cast when the Sun entered Mesha, from the country's founding chart and from any eclipse in the month. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
No founding chart is used for Canada on this page, so it reads from the Mesha Sankranti chart cast for Ottawa and from the eclipses.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Kanya (Virgo)
- Lord of the year chart
- Budh (Mercury) in house 7
The solar year began on 13 April 2025, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Ottawa, Virgo was rising.
Mercury rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 7th house, which keeps foreign relations, treaties and trading partners in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Ketu in the 1st house brings a quieter, inward turn and the letting go of old patterns to the country as a whole and the general mood of its people.
Venus in the 7th house brings comfort, the arts and easier agreements to foreign relations, treaties and trading partners.
Saturn in the 7th house brings slow, patient work, tighter budgets and some delays to foreign relations, treaties and trading partners.
Rahu in the 7th house brings new and unusual directions, with some confusion along the way to foreign relations, treaties and trading partners.
Jupiter in the 9th house brings growth, support and wider opportunity to higher learning, beliefs, long-distance travel and trade far afield.
The founding chart
No founding chart is read for this country: there is no agreed time for it, or it is older than the charts here can reach.
Planets changing sign
- Mangal (Mars) enters Simha (Leo)
On 6 June 2025 Mars moves into Leo, the 12th house of the year chart (public spending, foreign investment, ports and work done out of sight).
Mars here tends to speed things up and raise the temperature of public debate.
- Surya (Sun) enters Mithuna (Gemini)
On 14 June 2025 Sun moves into Gemini, the 10th house of the year chart (governance, institutions and the country's standing in the world).
The Sun's month puts the official side of these matters in the light.
