Canada in January 2028: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for Canada in January 2028, read from the chart cast when the Sun entered Mesha, from the country's founding chart and from any eclipse in the month. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
No founding chart is used for Canada on this page, so it reads from the Mesha Sankranti chart cast for Ottawa and from the eclipses.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Meena (Pisces)
- Lord of the year chart
- Guru (Jupiter) in house 5
The solar year began on 14 April 2027, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Ottawa, Pisces was rising.
Jupiter rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 5th house, which keeps education, the young, the arts, entertainment and the share markets in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Sun in the 1st house brings attention from the authorities and a push for order to the country as a whole and the general mood of its people.
Mercury in the 1st house brings busy talks, paperwork and brisk trade to the country as a whole and the general mood of its people.
Saturn in the 1st house brings slow, patient work, tighter budgets and some delays to the country as a whole and the general mood of its people.
The founding chart
No founding chart is read for this country: there is no agreed time for it, or it is older than the charts here can reach.
Planets changing sign
- Surya (Sun) enters Makara (Capricorn)
On 14 January 2028 Sun moves into Capricorn, the 11th house of the year chart (lawmaking, alliances, gains and shared hopes).
The Sun's month puts the official side of these matters in the light.
Eclipses
- Lunar eclipse
A lunar eclipse falls on 11 January 2028 in Gemini, the 4th house of the year chart (land, housing, farming, the season's weather and the mood at home).
- Solar eclipse
A solar eclipse falls on 26 January 2028 in Capricorn, the 11th house of the year chart (lawmaking, alliances, gains and shared hopes).
The weeks around an eclipse are read as a time to review and finish rather than to launch new public ventures in the matters it touches.
