Canada in 2045: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for Canada through 2045, read the way mundane astrology reads a nation: from the chart cast when the Sun enters Mesha each year, from the country's founding chart and from the year's eclipses. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
No founding chart is used for Canada on this page, so it reads from the Mesha Sankranti chart cast for Ottawa and from the eclipses.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Tula (Libra)
- Lord of the year chart
- Shukra (Venus) in house 7
The solar year began on 13 April 2045, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Ottawa, Libra was rising.
Venus rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 7th house, which keeps foreign relations, treaties and trading partners in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Saturn in the 2nd house brings slow, patient work, tighter budgets and some delays to national wealth, reserves, food supply and the tone of public speech.
Jupiter in the 5th house brings growth, support and wider opportunity to education, the young, the arts, entertainment and the share markets.
Sun in the 7th house brings attention from the authorities and a push for order to foreign relations, treaties and trading partners.
Mars in the 7th house brings drive, quick decisions and some heat in debate to foreign relations, treaties and trading partners.
The founding chart
No founding chart is read for this country: there is no agreed time for it, or it is older than the charts here can reach.

- Ketu enters Karka (Cancer)
On 12 July 2045 Ketu moves into Cancer, the 10th house of the year chart (governance, institutions and the country's standing in the world).
Ketu here tends to bring a review of old ways and a quieter, inward turn.
- Rahu enters Makara (Capricorn)
On 12 July 2045 Rahu moves into Capricorn, the 4th house of the year chart (land, housing, farming, the season's weather and the mood at home).
