Nepal in September 2011: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for Nepal in September 2011, read from the chart cast when the Sun entered Mesha, from the country's founding chart and from any eclipse in the month. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
No founding chart is used for Nepal on this page, so it reads from the Mesha Sankranti chart cast for Kathmandu and from the eclipses.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Karka (Cancer)
- Lord of the year chart
- Chandra (Moon) in house 2
The solar year began on 14 April 2011, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Kathmandu, Cancer was rising.
Moon rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 2nd house, which keeps national wealth, reserves, food supply and the tone of public speech in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Saturn in the 3rd house brings slow, patient work, tighter budgets and some delays to communication, the media, transport links and dealings with neighbours.
Jupiter in the 9th house brings growth, support and wider opportunity to higher learning, beliefs, long-distance travel and trade far afield.
Sun in the 10th house brings attention from the authorities and a push for order to governance, institutions and the country's standing in the world.
The founding chart
No founding chart is read for this country: there is no agreed time for it, or it is older than the charts here can reach.
Planets changing sign
- Mangal (Mars) enters Karka (Cancer)
On 9 September 2011 Mars moves into Cancer, the 1st house of the year chart (the country as a whole and the general mood of its people).
Mars here tends to speed things up and raise the temperature of public debate.
- Surya (Sun) enters Kanya (Virgo)
On 17 September 2011 Sun moves into Virgo, the 3rd house of the year chart (communication, the media, transport links and dealings with neighbours).
The Sun's month puts the official side of these matters in the light.
