Nepal in December 2017: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for Nepal in December 2017, read from the chart cast when the Sun entered Mesha, from the country's founding chart and from any eclipse in the month. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
No founding chart is used for Nepal on this page, so it reads from the Mesha Sankranti chart cast for Kathmandu and from the eclipses.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Makara (Capricorn)
- Lord of the year chart
- Shani (Saturn) in house 12
The solar year began on 14 April 2017, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Kathmandu, Capricorn was rising.
Saturn rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 12th house, which keeps public spending, foreign investment, ports and work done out of sight in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Sun in the 4th house brings attention from the authorities and a push for order to land, housing, farming, the season's weather and the mood at home.
Mercury in the 4th house brings busy talks, paperwork and brisk trade to land, housing, farming, the season's weather and the mood at home.
Jupiter in the 9th house brings growth, support and wider opportunity to higher learning, beliefs, long-distance travel and trade far afield.
Moon in the 10th house brings shifting public mood and a focus on everyday needs to governance, institutions and the country's standing in the world.
The founding chart
No founding chart is read for this country: there is no agreed time for it, or it is older than the charts here can reach.
