United Arab Emirates in January 2013: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for United Arab Emirates in January 2013, read from the chart cast when the Sun entered Mesha, from the country's founding chart and from any eclipse in the month. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
No founding chart is used for United Arab Emirates on this page, so it reads from the Mesha Sankranti chart cast for Abu Dhabi and from the eclipses.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Kanya (Virgo)
- Lord of the year chart
- Budh (Mercury) in house 7
The solar year began on 13 April 2012, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Abu Dhabi, Virgo was rising.
Mercury rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 7th house, which keeps foreign relations, treaties and trading partners in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Saturn in the 2nd house brings slow, patient work, tighter budgets and some delays to national wealth, reserves, food supply and the tone of public speech.
Jupiter in the 8th house brings growth, support and wider opportunity to shared resources, taxes, insurance and sudden shifts in public finances.
The founding chart
No founding chart is read for this country: there is no agreed time for it, or it is older than the charts here can reach.
Planets changing sign
- Surya (Sun) enters Makara (Capricorn)
On 14 January 2013 Sun moves into Capricorn, the 5th house of the year chart (education, the young, the arts, entertainment and the share markets).
The Sun's month puts the official side of these matters in the light.
- Mangal (Mars) enters Kumbha (Aquarius)
On 25 January 2013 Mars moves into Aquarius, the 6th house of the year chart (the workforce, public services, public debt and day to day administration).
Mars here tends to speed things up and raise the temperature of public debate.
