United Arab Emirates in May 2022: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for United Arab Emirates in May 2022, read from the chart cast when the Sun entered Mesha, from the country's founding chart and from any eclipse in the month. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
No founding chart is used for United Arab Emirates on this page, so it reads from the Mesha Sankranti chart cast for Abu Dhabi and from the eclipses.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Mesha (Aries)
- Lord of the year chart
- Mangal (Mars) in house 11
The solar year began on 14 April 2022, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Abu Dhabi, Aries was rising.
Mars rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 11th house, which keeps lawmaking, alliances, gains and shared hopes in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Sun in the 1st house brings attention from the authorities and a push for order to the country as a whole and the general mood of its people.
Mercury in the 1st house brings busy talks, paperwork and brisk trade to the country as a whole and the general mood of its people.
Rahu in the 1st house brings new and unusual directions, with some confusion along the way to the country as a whole and the general mood of its people.
Ketu in the 7th house brings a quieter, inward turn and the letting go of old patterns to foreign relations, treaties and trading partners.
Saturn in the 10th house brings slow, patient work, tighter budgets and some delays to governance, institutions and the country's standing in the world.
Jupiter in the 12th house brings growth, support and wider opportunity to public spending, foreign investment, ports and work done out of sight.
The founding chart
No founding chart is read for this country: there is no agreed time for it, or it is older than the charts here can reach.
Planets changing sign
- Surya (Sun) enters Vrishabha (Taurus)
On 15 May 2022 Sun moves into Taurus, the 2nd house of the year chart (national wealth, reserves, food supply and the tone of public speech).
The Sun's month puts the official side of these matters in the light.
- Mangal (Mars) enters Meena (Pisces)
On 17 May 2022 Mars moves into Pisces, the 12th house of the year chart (public spending, foreign investment, ports and work done out of sight).
Mars here tends to speed things up and raise the temperature of public debate.
Eclipses
- Solar eclipse
A solar eclipse falls on 1 May 2022 in Aries, the 1st house of the year chart (the country as a whole and the general mood of its people).
- Lunar eclipse
A lunar eclipse falls on 16 May 2022 in Scorpio, the 8th house of the year chart (shared resources, taxes, insurance and sudden shifts in public finances).
The weeks around an eclipse are read as a time to review and finish rather than to launch new public ventures in the matters it touches.
