United States in December 2014: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for United States in December 2014, read from the chart cast when the Sun entered Mesha, from the country's founding chart and from any eclipse in the month. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
No founding chart is used for United States on this page, so it reads from the Mesha Sankranti chart cast for Washington DC and from the eclipses.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Tula (Libra)
- Lord of the year chart
- Shukra (Venus) in house 5
The solar year began on 13 April 2014, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Washington DC, Libra was rising.
Venus rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 5th house, which keeps education, the young, the arts, entertainment and the share markets in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Saturn in the 1st house brings slow, patient work, tighter budgets and some delays to the country as a whole and the general mood of its people.
Rahu in the 1st house brings new and unusual directions, with some confusion along the way to the country as a whole and the general mood of its people.
Ketu in the 7th house brings a quieter, inward turn and the letting go of old patterns to foreign relations, treaties and trading partners.
Jupiter in the 9th house brings growth, support and wider opportunity to higher learning, beliefs, long-distance travel and trade far afield.
The founding chart
No founding chart is read for this country: there is no agreed time for it, or it is older than the charts here can reach.
Planets changing sign
- Surya (Sun) enters Dhanu (Sagittarius)
