United States in 2019: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for United States through 2019, read the way mundane astrology reads a nation: from the chart cast when the Sun enters Mesha each year, from the country's founding chart and from the year's eclipses. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
No founding chart is used for United States on this page, so it reads from the Mesha Sankranti chart cast for Washington DC and from the eclipses.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Kumbha (Aquarius)
- Lord of the year chart
- Shani (Saturn) in house 11
The solar year began on 14 April 2019, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Washington DC, Aquarius was rising.
Saturn rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 11th house, which keeps lawmaking, alliances, gains and shared hopes in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Venus in the 1st house brings comfort, the arts and easier agreements to the country as a whole and the general mood of its people.
Mars in the 4th house brings drive, quick decisions and some heat in debate to land, housing, farming, the season's weather and the mood at home.
Jupiter in the 11th house brings growth, support and wider opportunity to lawmaking, alliances, gains and shared hopes.
The founding chart
No founding chart is read for this country: there is no agreed time for it, or it is older than the charts here can reach.
