Canada in February 2023: themes from the sky
These are broad themes for Canada in February 2023, read from the chart cast when the Sun entered Mesha, from the country's founding chart and from any eclipse in the month. They describe tendencies in public life, not fixed events.
No founding chart is used for Canada on this page, so it reads from the Mesha Sankranti chart cast for Ottawa and from the eclipses.
Mundane readings here stay with themes and timing windows. They say nothing about any public figure and do not try to name particular events.
The year chart (Mesha Sankranti)
- Cast for
- Lagna
- Vrishchika (Scorpio)
- Lord of the year chart
- Mangal (Mars) in house 4
The solar year began on 13 April 2022, when the Sun entered Mesha. In the chart cast for that moment at Ottawa, Scorpio was rising.
Mars rules the rising sign and so sets the tone of the year's chart. It stands in the 4th house, which keeps land, housing, farming, the season's weather and the mood at home in focus through the year.
Planets that stand out
Saturn in the 3rd house brings slow, patient work, tighter budgets and some delays to communication, the media, transport links and dealings with neighbours.
Venus in the 4th house brings comfort, the arts and easier agreements to land, housing, farming, the season's weather and the mood at home.
Jupiter in the 5th house brings growth, support and wider opportunity to education, the young, the arts, entertainment and the share markets.
Moon in the 10th house brings shifting public mood and a focus on everyday needs to governance, institutions and the country's standing in the world.
The founding chart
No founding chart is read for this country: there is no agreed time for it, or it is older than the charts here can reach.
Planets changing sign
- Surya (Sun) enters Kumbha (Aquarius)
On 12 February 2023 Sun moves into Aquarius, the 4th house of the year chart (land, housing, farming, the season's weather and the mood at home).
